Liechtenstein-headquartered music rights group, SESAC Digital Licensing, and Clever Music Australia (a part of the Clever Music Group) have partnered through an unique digital licensing deal for the Clever Music catalog in Asia (excluding Japan, South Korea and China).
On behalf of Clever Music, SESAC Digital will negotiate agreements with on-line service suppliers within the markets of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor Leste and Vietnam.
This partnership will probably be administered by Mint Digital Companies, an alliance between SESAC (US) and Swiss authors’ rights society SUISA.
Mint administers licenses for on-line providers for a database that features roughly 30 million musical works.
